It’s almost time for citizens to head the polls and cast their votes in the November 7 general election—but before that, they can go ahead and vote early starting on Thursday.
Christian County Clerk Melinda Humphries appeared on WHOP recently and says her office is primed and ready for the election, and they’ve got all the requested mail-in absentee ballots sent out—if you got one, you’re welcome to drop those off in a drop box at the Clerk’s Office.
Mail-in absentee ballots are no longer available, but if you won’t be able to make it to a polling place on November 7, don’t worry—you can vote early at the Bruce Convention Center, the Senior Citizens’ Center and the Walnut Street Center.
Early voting also gets underway in Trigg County at the Emergency Operations Center, and in Todd County at the Todd County Courthouse those same days of Thursday through Saturday.
That will take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday and then after that, on Tuesday, November 7, Humphries says the polls will be open at 13 voting centers across the county from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.
All the state constitutional offices are on the ballot—including Governor, Attorney General, State Treasurer, Secretary of State, Auditor and Commissioner of Agriculture. So are a couple of local offices, including Commonwealth’s Attorney and the Christian County School Board District 4 seat.
