The bulk of the region is under a Freeze Watch, as temperatures are set to plummet below freezing, officially ending the growing season.
The Freeze Watch is in effect from Monday evening through Tuesday morning, with temperatures possibly dropping into the mid-to-upper 20’s across all of western Kentucky, southern Illinois, southwest Indiana and southeast Missouri.
Frost and freeze conditions could kills crops and other sensitive vegetation, so take steps now to protect tender plants and outdoor water pipes.
