The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association has selected University Heights senior Julia Thomas as the Region 2 Player of the Year.
On the season, Thomas leads her team on the season with 319 kills and 89 blocks.
Julia and Lady Blazer are still fighting to keep their post-season run alive as they just won their first region tournament game against Livingston Central and will now play Henderson Co. on Wednesday.
Following her senior season, Thomas will look towards her first semester playing for Florida International University.
