Clarksville PD seeking man for carjacking incident at Summit Heights

The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for allegedly assaulting a woman and stealing her vehicle on October 18.

According to a news release, 32-year-old Cordero Quarles is accused of approaching his ex-girlfriend where she was sitting in her vehicle at the Summit Heights apartments. He reportedly kicked out the passenger side window and took her car keys, and then physically drug her out of the driver’s seat and out of the car before driving off in it.

The victim had minor injuries from the incident. Quarles allegedly sideswiped a vehicle driven by a 71-year-old driver as he was fleeing the scene, though the driver was not injured.

The victim’s vehicle was located a short time later abandoned on Poston Street, but Quarles was not located.  He has warrants out of his arrest in this incident, including carjacking and reckless driving, with other charges pending.

Officers urge people that if they see Quarles, do not approach him and call 911 immediately. You can also call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-TIPS with information on his whereabouts.
