Jennie Stuart Health cuts the ribbon for renovated Wound Healing Center

Jennie Stuart Health is celebrating completed renovation and updating of the Wound Healing Center, and they made it official with a ribbon cutting Friday afternoon.

The newly renovated space is in the same building, with the entrance located at 1719 High Street, but in what President and CEO Eric Lee calls a far more convenient location that better suits their patients and their needs.

He says the completion of the Wound Healing Center is one the first part of a large renovation plan that will hopefully be finished sometime next year, including the E.C. Green Cancer Center.

Wound Healing Center Director Mark Strickland urged people to get the word out—especially since you do not need to have a referral from a doctor to use their services.

Attendees of the ribbon cutting got a tour of the newly renovated space, as doctors and staff showed off what is new and available to help treat their patients. The center specializes in advanced wound care, using a variety of clinical treatments, therapies and support services to treat chronic wounds.
