Due to unforeseen circumstances, trial will be slightly delayed into next week in the proceedings against Terrence Stepp, the man accused in the 2018 death of Tamara Dragoo.
Christian Circuit Judge John Atkins addressed the jury Thursday morning when trial was set to continue, and said that due to issues outside of their control, two witnesses that were set to take the stand won’t be available to do so until Monday at the earliest.
He apologized for the inconvenience, saying it is not the fault of either party, and they will work to get this trial wrapped up as soon as possible.
Stepp is charged with first-degree murder, second-degree burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of burglary tools.
Dragoo’s death occurred at the King’s Court Motel in 2018 and Stepp was charged in relation to the case in June of 2020, following interviews with numerous individuals and investigation by the Hopkinsville Police Department.
