A man is facing numerous charges after allegedly assaulting a woman and leading Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies on a foot pursuit Monday night.
According to the Christian County Sherriff’s Department, deputies responded to a residence in the 5000 block of Old Madisonville Road where a female victim alleged that that 33-year-old Dustin Aliff had assaulted her while they were riding in a vehicle. He reportedly grabbed her by the hair and threatened to wreck and kill them both.
After the two arrived at the residence, he reportedly fled the home and ran into the wood line behind the house. While deputies were there searching, Aliff allegedly called 911 to report that a home invasion had occurred at his residence on Johnson Mill Road, which proved to be false. The report states it could have been an attempt to lure officers away from Old Madisonville Road.
Aliff was eventually located and taken into custody. He is charged with fleeing or evading police, terroristic threatening, fourth-degree assault and falsely reports an incident to law enforcement.
