Things are going to stay fairly mild temperature wise heading into the work week, before another cold front brings a chance for rain heading into the weekend.
Meteorologist Andy Lesage with the National Weather Service in Paducah says the fall-like temperatures continue for the near future, with only a brief warm up Thursday before a cold front moves through the area.
That cold front will bring the chance for some rain and maybe a couple of storms, but nothing severe is in the forecast at the moment.
Then in the 8-to-14-day outlook, Lesage says things are trending a little warm with about average precipitation chances.
Drought status is moving slowly back into the area, so meteorologists are hopeful that the end of the month will bring a good chance for rain to keep that drought at bay.
