Alpha Pregnancy Care Center is inviting the community to their “Wiffle for Life” wiffle ball tournament for some fall time fun and to raise money to support the organization’s mission.
Slone Cansler with Alpha appeared on WHOP to share the details of their upcoming tournament and what the funds raised will go toward.
Cansler says Alpha supports pregnant mothers and babies by providing them with free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, child care materials, education services and more. Funds raised from the tournament will support these services.
Cansler says they are still looking for teams of nine to register and compete. Along with the tournament, Cansler says there will be family friendly activities such as pumpkin and face painting, concessions and more, all of which are open to the community.
In the tournament, Cansler says they will recognize the winning team as well as the team that raised the most money in the upper and lower divisions.
To attend the festivities there is a $5 entry which is free with the donation of unopened packages of size four, five or six diapers or baby wipes. Entry for those under the age of 5 is free.
The “Wiffle for Life” tournament kicks off at Ruff Park at 8 a.m. on October 21. Those interested in registering as a wiffle ball team can do so here.
