An Illinois man was injured in a wreck on I-24 in Christian County earlier this week.
That’s according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, which reports that a vehicle operated by 81-year-old Alan Lyon of Chatham, Illinois was heading east on I-24 near the 70 mile marker when the vehicle pulled to the right. His vehicle hit a guardrail, causing it to overturn onto its side.
Investigation reportedly revealed a blown out portion on one of the vehicle’s tires, and a tire assembly that was off the vehicle and laying in the median.
Lyon was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of several injuries.
