Man arrested for alleged burglary attempt, drug possession

Deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested 36-year-old Matthew Foe for attempted burglary and drug related charges after he allegedly tried to gain access to a church and was allegedly found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a citation from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Judges Chapel Church on Tuesday afternoon after witnesses reportedly saw Foe attempting to gain access to the church and flee the scene in a gold sedan.

Units reportedly located Foe’s vehicle near the 6000 block of Crofton Fruit hill Rd where they conducted a vehicle stop. Foe and his passenger were made to exit the vehicle and Foe was detained.

A deputy’s K9 on the scene conducted a free air sniff and alerted to the vehicle according to the citation. In a vehicle search, deputies allegedly found approximately 20 grams of synthetic drugs suspected to be spice, a pipe and Gabapentin pills.

Foe was taken into custody and charged with attempted third-degree burglary, possession of a controlled substance, possession of synthetic drugs, possession of burglary tools, possession of drug paraphernalia and having no vehicle insurance.
