The City of Hopkinsville, for the second year, is offering citizens the ability to pay their property taxes online—streamlining the process and providing convenience.
According to a news release, the City is partnering with Accela to provide the service. Typically, property tax payments in Hopkinsville required citizens to visit the Municipal Building or mail-in their payments, but now with this new software, residents can make secure payments online, anytime.
Hopkinsville Mayor J.R. Knight says, “We are committed to making local government services more accessible and user-friendly for our residents. By collaborating with Accela Government Software, we have taken a significant step forward in achieving that goal. This online property tax payment system is just one example of how we are leveraging technology to improve the lives of our citizens.”
To access the online property tax payment system, or to learn more about it, please visit the City of Hopkinsville website.
Residents can of course still pay their property tax in the traditional ways, by mailing them to P.O. Box 707, Hopkinsville, KY 42241 or bring them in-person to 715 South Virginia Street from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
