Pedestrian hurt in Clarksville collision

The Clarksville Police Department is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on Richview Road Tuesday morning that sent a teen to the hospital for minor injuries.

According to a news release, it happened around 7:15 a.m. on Richview Road when a 14-year-old male student crossed the road at Dewitt Drive, where traffic was moving at a crawling pace.  A vehicle was traveling slowly in the left turn lane towards the Crow Recreation Center when the student entered the roadway.

Investigation determined that the passenger side-view mirror hit the student, who sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the scene and then transported to Sango ER as a precaution.
