Cadiz woman arrested for drug possession, child endangerment

On Monday night, 35-year-old Angel Harris of Cadiz was arrested after deputies from the Christian County Sheriff’s Office found her to be under the influence of and in possession of illegal narcotics according to an arrest citation.

A deputy reportedly came across Harris while responding to a residence on the 1000 block of Pyle Lane and found her to be under the influence of narcotics having slurred speech and dilated pupils.

According to the citation, Harris shared a room with her 1 and 3-year-old children, and in that room, deputies found an empty plastic bag and a cut straw that both contained meth residue.

The responding deputy reported that the location of the narcotics was easily accessible to the children and if ingested could cause serious physical injury or possibly death.

Harris was charged with the possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment and is currently lodged at Christian County Jail.
