Multiple agencies fire departments and volunteer fire departments responded to the Bremen community Sunday, to help fight a large blaze at Cal-Maine Foods.
According to the Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, firefighters were called to a structure fire at Cal-Maine Foods in the 1800 block of KY 2584 around 1 a.m. and upon arrival, found heavy fire coming from one chicken house. Operations immediately began into extinguishing the blaze and to stop it from spreading to other structures.
A county-wide page was initiated, and 18 fire departments responded, including several from out of county agencies. Those agencies include Bremen Fire Department, Central City Fire Department, Greenville Fire Department, Graham Vol. Fire Department, WHFRTC Fire Department, Drakesboro Vol. Fire Department, Beechmont Vol. Fire Department, Muhlenberg EMS, Muhlenberg EMA 1, McLean County Southern District McLean County Central District, McLean County South Eastern District, McLean County Western District, Anton Vol. Fire Department, Nortonville Vol. Fire Department, White Plains Vol. Fire Department, Centertown Fire Department, Hartford Fire Department, and Rockport Fire Department.
