10 teams and 60 individuals competed in the 2nd Region Girls Golf Tournament on Monday at the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.
Daviess County won the Region 2 championship followed by Madisonville-North Hopkins as the runner-ups.
The Lady Maroons were also lead by Karra Tucker who shot a 65 to win the individual championship.
UHA girls finished 5th in the tournament. The Lady blazers were led by Conlee Lindsey (77) who was also the runner up on the individual ladder behind Tucker. Other results for UHA were Allie Sandifer (95), Campbell Lindsey (100), and Caroline Tucker (123). Cate Blane from Hopkinsville high school finished 3rd (80). Anna Fort from Hopkinsville finished 7th (83). For Christian County, sisters Alyse and Allie Ezell both competed in the tournament. Alyse put up a score of 112, while Allie shot a 131.
UHA’s Conlee Lindsey and Hoptown’s Cate Blane and Anna Fort, all advanced to the state tournament. They will play Monday 9/25 at Calvert City Country club. The Boys 2nd Region tournament is taking place today in Owensboro at the Ben Hawes Golf Course.
