Hopkinsville police have arrested Jason Mayton for fleeing or evading police after he reportedly ran when they attempted to serve him with an arrest warrant.
According to the police report, officers responded to a location on Avalon Boulevard Friday afternoon to serve a warrant for felony probation violation against Mayton. Upon seeing officers arrive, Mayton allegedly fled into the residence, out the back door and into a nearby wood line. The pursuit continued for a short distance through the woods before he was taken into custody.
The Hopkinsville Police Department states that Mayton has a history of fleeing from police and has been arrested 44 times on various charges in the past.
