Sheriff’s Office partners with pet rescue agencies for adoption event

With local pet rescue agencies seeing an increase in animal intake, the Christian County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with them to host the “Paws and Claws” adoption extravaganza on October 21.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with the Christian County Animal Shelter, Max’s Hope, the Humane Society, Moving Mountains for Mastiffs and Haven 12:10 Animal Sanctuary to bring all of the agencies to one location where those considering to adopt a furry family member can see all of the pets they have available for adoption.

Along with adoptions the Pet Lodge will be providing free pet nail clipping and the Christian County Animal Shelter will be providing $8 pet microchipping.

Attendees can also enter in a raffle to win door prizes and enjoy some music and food truck eats.

The “Paws and Claws” adoption extravaganza will be taking over the Sheriff’s Office parking lot from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on October 21.
