Even though fall time has officially begun, it’s not going to feel much like it with higher-than-average temperatures lingering and a small chance of rain in the area.
Sean Poulos with the National Weather Service in Paducah says after a brief bout of fall-like weather, summer returns this week with temperatures in the 80’s—and there will be a small chance for some strong storms, mostly to our north.
Next week looks like more of the same, with higher-than-average temperatures and likely less than normal precipitation, showing that summer isn’t fully gone just yet.
This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week, as these warm temperatures and the cooler temperatures attempt vie for control and cause stormy conditions. People are urged to visit the National Weather Service in Paducah Facebook page for more information and resources on how to be prepared for the possibility of severe weather.
