Christian Co. and Hopkinsville High marching bands compete in Murray State Festival of Champions

On Saturday, September 23rd, multiple schools in the Western Kentucky area competed in the Murray State Festival of Champions, a marching band competition dating back to 1976.

Murray High School’s band were crowned champions while Christian Co. was named reserve grand champions in 2nd place.

The Colonel Marching Band also had the best score in 4A and went on to win best Overall Brass and Overall Percussion.

Hopkinsville placed 8th overall in the competition and finished 4th in 4A.
