The Clarksville Police Department is now investigating the shooting that happened at the Grand View Apartments on South Lancaster Road Wednesday evening as a homicide.
According to a news release, the male victim that suffered a gunshot wound to the chest in a shooting incident at the apartments around 8 p.m. and was transported to Tennova Healthcare in critical condition has died of his injuries.
The shooting occurred in the parking lot and witnesses say a dark-colored vehicle with dark tinted windows left the scene. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Clarksville Crime Stoppers at 931-645-8477.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
