Child injured in vehicle versus horse and buggy crash

A child was flown to a Nashville hospital Thursday morning following a vehicle versus horse and buggy collision near the intersection of Pilot Rock Road and Shaw Ovil Road.

It happened around 8 a.m. when a horse and buggy that a nine-year-old female was riding on was struck by a vehicle, according to Hopkinsville Fire and EMS Lt. Payton Rogers, who tells WHOP News the child was alert and conscious at the scene.

She was flown to Vanderbilt Pediatrics in Nashville for treatment of possible broken bones.
