A Hopkinsville man has been arrested following an investigation and a foot pursuit Monday afternoon.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of North Clay Street to investigate a problem and found a blood splatter on the ground outside of the residence. Entrance was made to the building, where no one was inside. Investigation revealed that 36-year-old Andrew Ly of Hopkinsville allegedly was at the residence but left before police arrived.
Officers attempted to make contact with Ly at a location nearby but Ly allegedly fled when he saw officers, and a pursuit began where he reportedly went in the back door of an abandoned building. He locked the doors and refused to come out of the house.
Officers eventually made entry into the residence and took Ly into custody.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
