A Hopkinsville man is facing several charges after he allegedly entered the old Lacy Elementary School building without permission this past weekend.
According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the Lacy Elementary building for reports that an individual was entering the facility without permission. Deputies were able to locate a vehicle matching the description of one driven by the suspect, and it was reportedly driven by 28-year-old Tyler Brinkerhoff of Hopkinsville.
Brinkerhoff allegedly admitted to entering the building on more than one occasion, and also allegedly taking numerous items from inside.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, felony theft by unlawful taking and possession of burglary tools.
