A Madisonville woman was flown to a Nashville hospital following a two-vehicle crash Friday at the intersection of Princeton Road and Bartlett Avenue.
According to a news release from the Madisonville Police Department, deputies responded to calls of a wreck where a patient was trapped inside of her vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders extricated 51-year-old Yvette Wilson of Madisonville from the vehicle and provided emergency medical aid until she was flown to a Nashville hospital for treatment of severe injuries.
Investigation determined that a vehicle driven by 46-year-old Samuel Cockerham of Denniston, Kentucky had swerved to avoid another vehicle that was stopped in the roadway, and swerved into oncoming traffic. He and Wilson’s vehicle collided.
