The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will begin road work on the Pennyrile Parkway Wednesday at the Exit 9 ramp.
According to a news release, crews will be installing drainage structures and correcting the slopes on the Exit 9 southbound entry ramp and the Parkway southbound will be reduced to one lane between mile points 8.5 to roughly the 9.5-mile marker. The southbound entry ramp at Exit 9 to U.S. 68 will be closed while the work is being performed.
Motorists can access the southbound Pennyrile Parkway using East 9th St at exit 8. The target completion date for this work is October 6th, weather permitting.
