A motorcyclist was flown to a Nashville hospital Saturday afternoon following a crash on Dawson Springs Road.
The Christian County Sheriff’s Department reports that a motorcycle operated by 44-year-old Douglas Browne of Hopkinsville was headed south on Dawson Springs Road near Pool Nanny Road when a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Kaylynn Smith of Hopkinsville made a left turn into his path.
Browne was unable to stop and struck Smith’s vehicle—he was ejected from the motorcycle. He was flown to Skylin Medical Center in Nashville for treatment of serious injuries.
Smith reportedly told officers she had seen the motorcycle but thought she had enough time to complete the turn onto Pool Nanny. Smith was not injured.
