A person was killed in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of Silvey Road and Fort Campbell Boulevard Saturday night in Hopkinsville.
According to the Hopkinsville police report, the crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by 26-year-old Joseph Anthony of Hopkinsville struck a male victim, identified by Christian County Deputy Coroner Tim Fleming as 68-year-old Ernesto Perez Garcia, that was walking in the roadway.
Anthony told officers he did not see Garcia until the collision occurred.
Garcia was pronounced deceased at the scene. Anthony was not injured.
