The Christian County Chamber of Commerce has a new Director of Military Affairs, as Shannon Lane steps into the position previously held by Kristi Murtha.
Lane, a retired Army veteran that served over 21 years with eight of those a Fort Campbell, will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with Fort Campbell, the military community as a whole, while organizing Military Affairs Committee activities and functions. He will also be tasked with advocating at the local, state and federal levels for policy that betters the lives of military families.
He officially starts on Monday. Murtha stepped out of her role at the Chamber to accept a position at Fort Campbell.
