The city of Madisonville is finishing up their summer concert series and gearing up for their fall events. Luci Bess the Director of Events for Madisonville appeared on WHOP to share what events they have in store for the community.
Starting on Saturday Bess highlighted their second to last concert a part of their summer concert featuring Cynthia Murray and The End Times at First United Bank and Trust Plaza and will coincide with the 9/11 Heroes Run.
The 9/11 Heroes Run will is a 5k open to all runners and walkers of all ages and will take over downtown Madisonville at 8 p.m. More information about the run and registration can be found at the 9/11 Heroes Run – Madisonville KY Facebook page.
Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos will close out the summer concert series on September 23 and a showing of Top Gun Maverick will close out their outdoor movie series on October 6. The movie will be shown at the Madisonville Regional Airport which will be the location of Madisonville’s first airshow on October 7.
To ring in fall Bess shared the details for Madisonville’s Harvest Fest at Mahr Park set for September 15 and 16. On September 15 Bess says the festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. with live music and food trucks. Festivities continue on Sunday at 10 a.m. with vendors, more food trucks, hayrides, agricultural displays and more.
