Christian County High School assistant band director and percussion leader Calvin Warren has been named the Kentucky Music Educations Association Third District High School Music Teacher of the Year.
According to a news release, the award honors those who exemplify teaching excellence in music education. Throughout Warren’s 15 years of teaching, ensembles have received distinguished ratings, performed at the KMEA State Conference, performed in KMEA State Finals, qualified and seated high in various honor band clinics, as well as participated in All-State Bands.
Warren is in high demand for his expertise as an audio clinician for sound and audio for the pageantry arts, and serves as a percussion consultant for many area high schools in the region.
