The Madisonville Police Department is investigating after a person was killed in a shooting incident on South Madison Avenue Friday night.
According to a news release, officers with the Madisonville Police Department responded to the 500 block of South Madison for a call of shots fired in the area. Once on the scene, officers located an individual who had multiple gun shot wounds.
The victim was transported to Deaconess of Madisonville, where they would later succumb to their injuries. Their name has not yet been released.
The investigation continues into the incident and no suspects have been named at this time.
