Two Pembroke residents are facing numerous charges in relation to a burglary that occurred on Wooldridge Road Tuesday night.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, officers responded to a location in the 500 block of Wooldridge Road for reports of a burglary that had just happened where one of the two suspects allegedly pushed a woman with a baseball bat.  The suspects, identified as 32-year-old William Webster and 30-year-old Dale Schultz, both of Pembroke, reportedly entered the residence unlawfully.

While inside, Schultz is alleged to have strangled a female victim by pushing her against a wall and wrapping his hands around her throat after he reportedly kicked in the back door. He also allegedly threatened the victims earlier in the day on the phone and said he would call someone if they intervened.

Webster reportedly did not enter the residence until he heard shouting, which is when he allegedly went inside and took a baseball bat away from one of the residents.  While being taken into custody, he reportedly struggled with officers, of which they reported scrapes from the scuffle.

Webster is charged with first-degree burglary, third-degree assault of a police officer, third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and attempted escape.

Schultz is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree strangulation, third-degree terroristic threatening and third-degree criminal mischief.
