Christian Fiscal Court held a special-calling meeting Friday morning where they approved the tax rates for the fiscal year.
The rates approved on second-reading were 18.1 cents per $100 of assessed value for both real estate and tangible property, which reflects a slight decrease in both, down from 18.2 cents on the property rate and 18.6 cents on tangibles.
County Attorney Lincoln Foster read the tax ordinance, saying the rates could generate a projected revenue of $8.3 million for the county.

The tax rates were approved unanimously—it was the only item on the agenda for the special-called meeting.
