The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be temporarily closing an intersection in Madisonville to make way for construction at a CSX rail crossing.
According to a news release, the closure is west of downtown Madisonville at U.S. 41 where it intersects with KY 1034 and West Noel Avenue. It will start Monday and last through September 1, weather permitting.
That intersection will be closed while the work is underway, so motorists are advised to find alternate routes for the duration.
