Two injured in three-vehicle Richard Street crash

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle crash on Richard Street Saturday morning.

According to the Hopkinsville Police report, a vehicle driven by Donte Dixon of Hopkinsville was heading east on Richard Street when they reportedly saw a dead animal in the westbound lanes and then hit a parked car, operated by Sherry Adcock of Hopkinsville, that was facing west on Richard waiting for the Feed America gate to open.

The collision forced Adcock’s vehicle into a third vehicle that was also parked in line—the driver of that vehicle, Kerry Reece of Clarksville, told officers Adcock’s vehicle was hit head on.

Dixon and Adcock were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment, Reece was not injured. Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt.
