Popcorn shop hosts ribbon cutting commemorating a year at their new location

Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and so Much More has been treating locals with various popcorn flavors and other snacks for two years, but just on Thursday they hosted an open house and ribbon cutting celebrating the one-year anniversary of their store relocation.

Along with highlighting the anniversary, the ribbon cutting also recognized Starbird Gourmet Popcorn’s membership with the Christian County Chamber of Commerce. Prior to there current location the store was on Fort Campbell Blvd which is now home to coffee shop, Campfire Roasters.

Starbird Gourmet Popcorn is owned by Patty Starbird Cooper and she runs the store along with her son Christopher Cooper and daughter Kayla Cooper who are also co-owners of the store.

Beyond providing a wide range of popcorn flavors ranging from sweet to savory, Starbird Cooper says they also have many dessert treats, can make specialized gift baskets and deliveries.

Starbird Cooper says she was excited to have the ribbon cutting and was happy to see all the support from the community with patrons packing her store.

Along with expressing her appreciation to the community, Starbird Cooper talked about the importance of shopping local and supporting small businesses because that money stays in the community and directly supports families.

Starbird Gourmet Popcorn and so Much More is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays at 103 West 18th Street. From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays they do deliveries.
