According to a news release, the breakfast will take place starting at 7:30 a.m. and is held in conjunction with annual Human Rights Week. The theme for this year’s breakfast is “Unarmed Truth and Unconditional Love”.
They’ll hand out four awards this year, including the prestigious Hal and Bettye Thurmond Award, the Mayor’s Unity Award, the Standard Award for Excellence and the Volunteer of the Year Award. The HRC is currently accepting nominations for those awards, with the deadline to nominate September 24.
