Tyron Holt, the Hopkinsville man charged with complicity to murder in the shooting death of 18-year-old Gailon Toler in May 2022 appeared in Christian Circuit Court on Wednesday where his trial date was postponed because of the rise of new information regarding his case.
Holt’s case recently took a turn when Omega Plaisime of Clarksville was arrested in late July after being suspected of shooting Toler. With Plaisime in custody and set to appear in court, Commonwealth’s Attorney Stephanie Bolen requested a continuance for Holt’s case.
The continuance was agreed up by the defense and will allow for both Holt’s and Plaisime’s cases to be tracked together as Plaisime is set to appear in front of a grand jury on August 18 and should be arraigned on August 30 according to Circuit Judge Andrew Self.
Holt will reappear in Christian Circuit Court on August 30.
