The Murray State Regional Campus in Hopkinsville is now even more prepared to serve their students, as the ribbon was cut Thursday afternoon for their new food pantry.
The Food Pantry for MSU Students is officially open for business, and Curris Center and Student Life Director Re’Nita Avery says they’ve had a pantry on their main campus, and they’re glad to bring this service to students in Hopkinsville.
She says any student of Murray State University can utilize the food pantry if they need it.
They work closely with their student organizations to host food drives and collect food donations—they also work with their Parking Office where if a student receives some type of ticket, they can pay off that ticket by donating to the food pantry.
Avery says they’ll glad take donations if anyone feels the call to do so, and you can contact her to find out what type of donations they need, from food items to personal hygiene products. For more information, call the regional campus at (270) 707-1525.
