UHA, Christian Co. and Hoptown compete in HGCC High School Girls’ Invitational (w/PHOTOS)

After hosting the high school boys’ invitational on Tuesday, the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club welcomed 62 players from 17 schools for their high school girls’ invitational. Seven schools did not bring a full team however, so there were only 10 schools that took part in the team competition.

Marshall County won as a team shooting a total score of 312 and Karra Tucker from Madisonville-North Hopkins posted the best individual score shooting a 69.

UHA came in 6th place out of 10 teams shooting a 394 and were led by Conlee Lindsey who shot an 81. She also tied for 8th place in the individual standings. Allie Sandifer shot a 98, Campbell Lindsey put up a 105, and Caroline Tucker posted a 110 to wrap up the UHA team scores.

Christian Co. and Hoptown were one of the seven schools that could not play as a team due to only having two players each, but Allie Ezell had the lowest score of the County duo being a 123 while Alyse Ezell shot a 140.

For Hopkinsville, Cate Blane and Anna Fort both put up a score of 84 which tied for 13th place in the solo standings.

Local boys and girls schools will be in action this Friday, August 4, for the Christian County Invitational at the Western Hills Golf Course.
