Contractors with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be out painting white and yellow stripes on local roadways this week.
According to a news release, the work includes on I-24 from the 69-mile marker to the 87-mile marker eastbound and from the 69-mile marker to the 92-mile marker westbound and on US 41 from the zero-mile marker to Gant Street, roughly 11 miles, from the 15-mile marker to just after Billy Goat Hill Road, a distance of about 16 miles.
There will also be striping on U.S. 41-A from the state line to South Fort Little River Bridge, about 14 miles, and then on U.S. 68 for about 7 miles near the Christian-Trigg County line, the about 10 miles near the Christian Todd County line and another 11 miles on U.S. 68.
Drivers are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling through these work zones and be aware of slow moving vehicles for paint application.
