The Jets star quarterback confirmed the agreement after Wednesday’s practice, which will guarantee him 75-million-dollars over the next two years. According to NFL Network, Rodgers’ new contract is a five-year deal that includes two option years to spread out bonus proration and create a 2023 cap number of just under nine-million-dollars. He had nearly 110-million-dollars guaranteed remaining on his old deal in Green Bay. The 39-year-old signal caller threw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with the Packers last season. The Jets finished last in the AFC East after going 7-and-10 in 2022.

The 24-year-old former first-round pick out of Georgia has started 44 games through his first three years in the league. The fully guaranteed 67-million dollars is the most ever for a non-quarterback first-round extension after three years.

He says DeAndre Hopkins got involved early and finished the day with three catches. Mike Vrabel said the new receiver will miss the next day or two to take care of some personal business. Wyatt said Ryan Tannehill looked sharp and ended the day 9-of-10. Malik Willis and Will Levis also showed well. The next open practice is scheduled for Friday.

The deal is reportedly worth 50-million dollars with just over 32-million dollars guaranteed. Kmet entered training camp heading into the final year of his rookie contract. He caught 50 passes for 544 yards and seven touchdowns last season.
