Hopkinsville man facing felony theft charge

A Hopkinsville man is facing a felony theft charge after he allegedly failed to return a vehicle he had borrowed.

According to the Hopkinsville police report, the victim reported that 55-year-old Terriance Quarles of Hopkinsville had borrowed her vehicle and then allegedly failed to return it by the agreed upon time. He reportedly ignored all contact that was attempted by the victim, who later located her vehicle at a location on Faulkner Street and called for law enforcement.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle parked in the side yard, while Quarles was standing on the porch.  He was taken into custody and the keys were reportedly in his pocket.

The victim took possession of her vehicle and Quarles was charged with felony theft by failure to make required disposition of property over $10,000.
