>>NFL Owners Approve Sale Of Washington Commanders

 

(Minneapolis, MN)  — The Washington Commanders are under new ownership.  On Thursday, NFL owners unanimously voted to ratify the sale of the Commanders, formally welcoming Josh Harris to their ranks.  The vote came hours after the league’s finance committee endorsed the sale-and-purchase agreement, which was first publicly announced in May.  Shortly after the sale was approved, the NFL said in a statement that it was fining former owner Dan Snyder 60-million-dollars following an investigation by former U.S Attorney Mary Jo White on substantiated claims that he sexually harassed a former employee and that the team deliberately underreported revenues to the league.

 

>>Bengals Induct Boomer Esiason And Chad Johnson Into Ring Of Honor

 

(Cincinnati, OH)  — A pair of Cincinnati Bengals’ legends are being inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor.  Boomer Esiason and Chad Johnson were each selected into the 2024 class on Thursday, becoming the third pair of former players to be enshrined.  Esiason quarterbacked the franchise for 10 seasons and led the team to an AFC championship victory in 1988.  Johnson is the Bengals all-time leading receiver with nearly 11-thousand yards.

 

>>Titans Training Camp Begins

 

(Nashville, TN)  — Training camp is just around the corner.  The Titans will have their rookies report to Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park tomorrow.  Veterans will join them on Tuesday.  Although Ryan Tannehill is locked-in as the starting quarterback, second-year QB Malik Willis and newly-drafted Will Levis will battle for the backup role.

 

>>Jets First Day Of Training Camp

 

(Florham Park, NJ)  — The Jets hit the field for the first day of practice at training camp yesterday. New quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he enjoys seeing Jets fans when he’s walking around Manhattan.  Rodgers says there’s nothing like New York and showing up at One Jets Drive in Florham Park was a little different, coming from Green Bay.  It’s been a long time since the Jets have had this kind of attention, due to Rodgers joining the squad.
