The Tennessee Valley Authority is celebrating its 5,000th home that has been served by the Home Uplift program and they’re looking to get even more people involved.
The Home Uplift program is all about providing free energy upgrades to participants who qualify to take part, and it includes HVAC repairs or replacement, ductwork, air sealing, insulation, window and door sealing, and more. North Regional Vice President Justin Maierhofer described the initiative, saying its their hope to improve the quality of life for those who participate.
He says everyone is looking to save money in this day and age, and by making these upgrades, it helps people do that.
He says the effort also benefits the environment.
