>>Rockets To Play Cavaliers In Las Vegas Summer League Final

 

(Las Vegas, NV)  — The Rockets and Cavaliers are set to battle for the Las Vegas Summer League title.  Houston will face Cleveland in the Summer League Final tonight at the Thomas & Mack Center in Sin City.  Both teams enter the game with an unblemished 5-and-0 record.  The Rockets advanced to the final with an impressive 115-101 win over the Utah Jazz in the semifinals.  The Cavaliers punched their ticket to the final with a thrilling 102-99 takedown of the Brooklyn Nets in overtime.  Neither team has ever won the Las Vegas Summer League championship.

 

>>Grizzlies End Summer League With Win

 

(Las Vegas, NV)  — The Grizzlies ended their NBA Summer League with a big win heading into the weekend.  Memphis topped the Lakers 100-69 at Thomas and Mack Center.  David Roddy led the team with 21 points while Jake LaRavia netted 20 of his own.  The Grizz finished Summer League play with a 2-and-3 record.

 

>>Suns Continue To Shuffle Roster

 

(Phoenix, AZ)  — The Phoenix Suns are continuing to shuffle their roster.  The team agreed to a one-year deal with free agent forward Bol Bol over the weekend.  The 23-year-old played 70 games for the Orlando Magic last season and averaged just over nine points to go with 5.8 rebounds per game.  Phoenix also swung a couple of trades.  Cameron Payne and a future second-round pick were sent to the San Antonio Spurs for a future second-rounder.  Phoenix has 11 players on minimum deals behind their star-laden core of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal and Deandre Ayton.

 

>>Steph Curry Wins American Century Championship

 

(Stateline, NV)  — Steph Curry is adding another title to his trophy case.  The Golden State Warriors guard came away with a first-place finish at the American Century Championship at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.  Curry sunk an eagle putt on the 18th hole to finish ahead of former professional tennis player Mardy Fish.  The four-time NBA champion became just the second basketball player to win the tournament, joining Vinny Del Negro who won the title in 2021.  Curry also went viral with his hole-in-one shot in the second round on Saturday.
