This week looks very similar weather wise, as there exists a daily chance for storms and rain and temperatures climbing in the middle of the week.
On the weather call Monday, Sean Poulos with the National Weather Service in Paducah says there will be a better chance for rain possible this week, with more widespread activity possible—a couple of those storms could be severe.
They’re hopeful most areas pick up at least half an inch to an inch of rain, as many places still badly need it.
Poulus says at the moment, next week is shaping up to be pretty average overall, for both temperatures and precipitation.
Christian, Todd and Trigg counties are still listed as ‘abnormally dry’ on the drought monitor, but areas to our west and north are now entering ‘severe drought status’.
