The Best of the West 7 0n 7 competition took place at the Stadium of Champions on Friday, July 14.
It was an all day affair that included nearly twenty teams from Kentucky and Tennessee, but it was a Gibson Southern team from Fort Branch, Indiana that came away with the trophy.
There were two pool play sessions with the first starting at 9:00 AM and the second at 1:00 PM.
The official tournament then started at 5:30 PM with 19 different seeds competing.
The final four teams consisted of Gibson Southern, Hopkinsville, Macon County, and Pearl Cohn.
Gibson Southern defeated Hopkinsville 31-20 while Macon County took down Pearl Cohn 26-17.
Gibson Southern then went on to convincingly defeat Macon Co. 41-15 in the championship game.
