Todd Fiscal Court approved an annexation request for the City of Guthrie at Friday’s meeting.
The property is described as approximately 45 acres between U.S. 79 and KY 294, and Todd County Judge-Executive Todd Mansfield says with their approval, Guthrie will now be able to move forward with the annexation process, making way for eventual construction of apartments.
Todd County Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith also requested that magistrates approve the payment of roughly $130 a year for law enforcement and first responder individuals to utilize the Active 911 dispatch application.
Fiscal Court had been set to hear a proposed reapportionment plan at Friday’s meeting, but because of some family emergencies amongst members of the reapportionment committee, that process has been delayed. Judge Mansfield says they will likely hear a proposal concerning changes to the district lines based on population increase or decrease at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
